I had a significant weight gain this week and I know a big part of the reason was that I did not stay on track at all this weekend. I’m very disappointed in myself and I know that I need to make better choices. If I’m going to reach my goal weight, I have to make changes in how I choose foods when we go out to eat and how I handle being in different environments other than my own home. In my house I can control the food that comes in because I do all the grocery shopping, but when I go to other households, I have to learn to say no and learn to control myself when I’m around trigger foods that lead me to overeat.
This week I have all of my meals planned out and pre-tracked so hopefully that will help me stay on track. I have several work trainings this week so I have already planned what I’m going to bring to eat or what I’m going to eat when I go out. I have to keep reminding myself of my whys and what my goals are so that I can stay focused. It’s so easy to get off track and I’ve been struggling with this for so long.
The great thing is that the weather is getting nicer. It’s still cold in the mornings but our daily highs are supposed to get up into the 50s and 60s so that means I can spend more time outside with my kids. We went outside to play yesterday and I easily hit over 10,000 steps before I went to bed. With the changing weather hopefully it will motivate me to move more and that will help more with weight loss.
My normal weigh-ins are on Monday but next Monday I have a work training so I will have to weigh in the Saturday after. So hopefully that won’t mess me up too much. If I can stay on track during this week and next, I should have a really good weigh in at the end of the month!
